We proudly present the 9th edition of RIGA CUP


EUROPE’S LARGEST YOUTH ICE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT


RIGA, LATVIA


The dates for the 2014 tournament are set and we are pleased to invite your club to participate in our International AAA/AA Tournament to be held in Riga (Latvia).

AGE GROUPS: U-13 (born 2001) and U-15 (born 1999)
DATES: April 18-19-20-21
PARTICIPATION FEES: Please contact us!

Included:
* 5 nights accommodation in Maritim Park hotel (or a similar 4 star hotel when Maritim Park hotel is fully booked) based on a double room (Single room: + (plus) Euro 22,00 per room per night)
* breakfast buffet in the hotel
* lunch and dinner at the ice rink on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and lunch on Monday (7 warm meals)
* personal attention for each player

Excluded:
* meals on Thursday
* dinner on Monday
* transportation and travel expenses
* insurance

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

* All tournaments will start at Friday at approx 07.00 hrs
* All tournaments will be finished on Monday around 19.00 hrs
* Teams are expected to arrive on Thursday
* Return trip by ferry or plane should be planned not before 21.00 hrs on Monday
* All teams must present copies of passports (or original player cards or passports) at least 1 hour before their first game. Teams who fail to do so are not allowed to play and will automatically lose their first game.
* We can also arrange transportation for your personal needs during your stay. Rates on request.
* Schedules for the tournaments will be forwarded to participating clubs at least 21 days before the tournament begins.
* Teams must take care of their own health and travel insurance
* minimum number of team 8 and maximum 32
* minimum number of games 7 (U-13/15: 8 games minimum)

HOW TO APPLY:

Together with the application (form) you should transfer a deposit of Euro 400.00 per team (no exception can be made).
We will hold your place for 1 week after your application to enable you to transfer the deposit. After 1 week the place will be released again if the deposit has not been received.
Teams who fail to pay the deposit in full will not be guaranteed a place in the tournament.

When your team has been accepted the tournament fee will be charged together (plus) with the charge for each player/coach.
The balance (tournament fee minus the application fee of Euro 400.00 plus fee per player/coach plus all additional services) will be called in for in February 2014.

The application is binding. Teams who will not be among the participants will get their Euro 400.00 back.
When cancellations are made after your team has been accepted in the tournament no refund can be given on the application fee.

PARENTS:

Parents can stay in the same hotel as players and coaches if required, but can also be booked in one of our other partner hotels. Rates will be as follows:

Single room: Euro 52,00 per room per night including breakfast
Double room: Euro 60,00 per room per night including breakfast

ARENAS:

Majority of the games will be played at the Volvo Sporta Centrs, Jurmalas Gatve 78d in Riga.

Inbox Arena, Babites pagast in Pinki (suburb from Riga and 10 minutes from Volvo Arena).

Akademija Arena, Brīvības gatve 333 in Rīga. The Arena is not having a website.

Also School55 Arena will be used if necessary.

REFEREES:

We also request participating clubs to bring 1 or 2 high level referees, but this is not mandatory.
Referees are offered free accommodation (based on arrival on Thursday and departure on Monday and on sharing a double room including breakfast in 4 star hotel Maritim Park) as well lunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

Travel costs will be on their own expenses. No further payments will be made.

Referees will have an average of approx 5 games a day.

Please notice all referees will stay in Maritim Park hotel irrespective of where the team is staying.
